Job Description:

Working on one of our exciting and innovative platforms, the successful candidate will join an existing and experienced team working in distributed locations across the UK.  The role is remote based from within the UK. However, a willingness to travel occasionally to meet team members and stakeholders will be required to get the most out of this role.  You will work closely as part of the product team, with the ‘remote distributed’ development team and other business stakeholders.

Your expertise in market evaluation, proposition making, requirements gathering, cost benefit analysis, and management of IT development will be key in supporting the product teams’ processes to deliver relevant, high value, best in class solutions to our client base. You will be the front of knowledge for our product portfolio, working closely with sales, development, operations, support and marketing teams to bring a shared understanding of our customer value propositions through clear training, compelling documentation and processes driven delivery of MVP within agreed time and budget.

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, and alongside the other Product Owners, you will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Gain a clear understanding from the Product Manager and other key stakeholders of the vision and direction for the products.
  • Do competitor analysis, prepare business cases, and product propositions to define and cascade the value and benefits
  • Work with customers and other stakeholders to gather, understand and clearly document their business problems, requirements, Operation procedures, and workflows.
  • Review the requirements with Solutions Architects to produce Epics and prioritised detailed Features that clearly define the product value and requirements for the business analysts and development teams.
  • Where appropriate, create prototypes, models to illustrate functionality.
  • Enable Business Analysts to lead on user stories and support day to day development queries
  • Manage the product delivery, and cost plan, iterating improvements and continuous value delivery via market analysis and stakeholder engagement/feedback
  • Attend / Lead on sprint ceremonies, and regularly review products and solutions during development and at completion to ensure they meet the acceptance criteria and within the agreed timescales.
  • Liaise with Delivery Managers to sign-off items for delivery and review estimates against agreed plans
  • Track all dependencies and influence various stakeholders to achieve product delivery and launch objectives.
  • Liaise with the Technical Author to ensure that product documentation clearly conveys the functionality.
  • Stay abreast of relevant markets, technologies, legislation and general trends.
  • Be willing to step up and lead as and when required.

Success of the role will be measured against several KPIs including but not limited to:

  • Product propositions and delivery in line with the objectives
  • Feedback from Line Manager and other stakeholders
  • Product launch, performance, and adoption by the customers

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential

  • At least 3 years experience as Product Owner /Lead Business Analyst/ Proxy Product Owner for API driven product(s)
  • Proficient in managing Product development lifecycle, Agile processes, and User experience
  • Prior experience of leading and running workshops to gather requirements and data
  • Proficient in MS Office, Visio

Desirable

  • Fintech/Payment industry experience, payment gateways, payment facilitation
  • Prior experience as Business Analyst
  • Technical \ development background
  • ADO experience
