CMFT has been using the paye.net cash receipting system for the past 7 years, replacing the old spectrum system. Each month, £650k in cash, 2500 receipts are being processed via the paye.net system, this equates to over £8 million per annum.
Card receipts are proving very popular with a) the trust IVF clinic using the system for prescriptions and b) the private patients department taking patients payment prior to hospital admission. Card payments to the Trust have increased by £1 million per annum since the introduction of paye.net.

The benefits of using paye.net are that full transaction details are recorded, so from an auditor’s point of view it provides a good audit trail. It is very easy to track down any cheques and where the cash has been allocated.
The emailing of receipts function is a plus, if any department is monitoring their income, a generic email address can be linked to a fund number so that the department see what they have coming through. Example: They can see payment has been paid before issuing uniforms or car parking permits. It’s a system which can be picked up easily and use by all cashiers and departments.
